THE Senate on Tuesday approved the 2014 budget proposals of the Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Tourism (DOT), the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) and their attached agencies. The Senate also approved the 2014 budget proposal of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council. The DOF-attached agencies are the Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Local Government Finance, Bureau of the Treasury, Central Board of Assessment Appeals, Cooperative Development Authority, Insurance Commission, National Tax Research Center, Privatization and Management Office, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. The Neda-attached agencies are the National Statistical Coordination Board, National Statistics Office, Philippine Institute for Development Studies, Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordination Agency, Public-Private Partnership Center, Statistical Research and Training Center, and the Tariff Commission. Agencies attached to the DOJ are the Bureau of Corrections, Bureau of Immigration, National Bureau of Investigation, Parole and Probation Administration, Presidential Commission on Good Government, Public Attorney’s Office, Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, Office of the Solicitor General, and Land Registration Office. Agencies attached to the DOLE are the Employees Compensation Commission, Institute for Labor Studies, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, National Labor Relations Commission, National Maritime Polytechnic, and the National Wages and Productivity Commission. Other DOLE-attached agencies are the Occupational Safety and Health Center, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Professional Regulatory Commission, Technical Education Skills and Development Authority. The agencies attached to the DOT are the Intramuros Administration, the National Parks Administration Committee and the Tourism Promotion.
