#PIDSInfoBits: Did you know that majority of online freelancers in the Philippines are women?
In 2020, around 62 percent of online freelancers in the country were women—the highest globally in terms of women’s participation in online freelance work. This can be attributed to the flexibility of online work, which allows women to attend to other commitments such as childcare and housework.
