For this week, our buzzword is “green recovery”.
It refers to the adoption of environmental sustainability principles to enhance human well-being and the environment through transparent, accountable, and resilient economic and governance systems, fair distribution of benefits, and discouragement of harmful activities that cause environmental damage and threaten citizens’ health.

A PIDS study noted that one way for the government to promote green recovery is by incorporating environmentally friendly initiatives into its stimulus packages for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Short-term stimulus packages can include incentives encouraging MSMEs to adopt sustainable solutions and technologies.
