A PIDS study that analyzed the financial technology (FinTech) landscape in the Philippines noted that competent and skilled workers and entrepreneurs are required to sustain the progress of the FinTech industry. The academe has a crucial role in the formation of these individuals. In the Philippines, several higher education institutions (HEIs) offer degrees related to business and information technology. However, very few HEIs are directly dedicated to FinTech.
