THE RELEASE of integrated industry road maps has been deferred in favor of individual plans to facilitate policy making, an Cabinet official said. `We are going to release individual industry road maps first because the integrated road maps might take a while,` Trade Secretary Gregory L. Domingo told reporters. `We are just going to consolidate later on,` he added. Industries and sectors were asked to present road maps to the Board of Investment as early as 2011. The plans were expected to provide insight on potential roadblocks and policy requirements to spur growth. The Philippine Institute for Development Studies was also tapped to help consolidate the plans. Mr. Domingo did not detail what progress had been made, only saying that his department wanted facilitate the issuance of industry-specific policies.
