The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) cosponsored a multistakeholder forum titled "Agricultural Development in Southern Tagalog: Issues and Opportunities", on June 27, 2018 at the SLSU main campus auditorium in Brgy. Kulapi, Lucban, Quezon Province.
Among the studies presented during the event were "Evaluation of the Impact of the Agricultural Insurance Program of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation on Agricultural Producers in Region IV-A" by Dr. Roselle Collado from the University of the Philippines-Los Banos, "Review of High Value Agriculture in the Philippines with Comprehensive Subsectoral Focus: Livestock Industries" by PIDS Senior Research Fellow Sonny Domingo,"Opportunities for Strengthening Agriculture Insurance Programs: Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation and LGU Partnerships" by PIDS President Celia Reyes, and "Soil Health Approach in Boosting Rainfed Agriculture in Sariaya, Quezon" by Dr. Gondelina Radovan from SLSU.
