The study takes a look on the various fund-raising means to finance health care and the reasons that the schemes failed. To ensure sustainability of the programs it recommends the link up of community-based health care financing schemes with that of the national health insurance program. The beefing up of health care service schemes would be an effective means of realizing the goal of sustaining continued operations as well as making sure that more people benefit from the services.
