The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) held a multi-sector round table discussion on Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) last January 16, 2013 at Dusit Hotel Thani in Makati City. The objectives of the RTD are to (1) disseminate the current status of NCDs and (2) gather inputs on how to involve different sectors in the prevention and control programs of the Department of Health. As envisioned by the Department of Health, the RTD is one of the precursor activities prior to the development of multi-sector framework.
