Year-on-year headline inflation rate at the national level picked up by 0.9 percentage point to 6.0 percent in July from 5.1 percent in June. This was mainly brought about by the 10.8 percent increase in the inflation of services. Higher inflation rates recorded in food, beverages and tobacco (FBT), fuel, light and water (FLW) and miscellaneous items also contributed to the uptrend.
