State think tank Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and the Chung Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) jointly organized a symposium titled, "The Global Economic Environment: A Symposium on the Global Economy and What it Means for the Philippines". The forum aimed to discuss national and regional issues, and posed the questions as to where is this paradigm shift leading the Philippines and how can it find cooperation and collaboration with neighboring countries in the region?
