In February 2024, eight graduate students from Yokohama National University (YNU) visited the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) as part of their fieldwork exploring various government agencies in the Philippines. Accompanied by Dr. Takaaki Kobayashi from the YNU International Graduate School of Social Sciences, the students aimed to gain a deeper understanding of PIDS' role in conducting research to inform policymakers and public discourse.
The discussion was led by PIDS President Aniceto Orbeta Jr. and Vice President Marife Ballesteros. The meeting was also joined by PIDS Research Service Department Manager Renee Ayaji and Research Information Department Manager Sonny Domingo.
