In celebration of the Development Policy Research Month, the first Bangsamoro Development Policy Research Forum was held on September 25 at the Ebrahim Hall, Em Manor Hotel & Convention Center in Cotabato City. Organized by the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority, the event brought together experts, local planners, and researchers to address key issues such as financial inclusion, socioeconomic development, poverty alleviation, and climate resilience in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
PIDS Senior Research Fellow Dr. Jose Ramon Albert shared insights on "New Wealth Creation for Expanding and Transforming the Middle Class in the Philippines." He shared pathways to cultivate a more resilient middle class in the Philippines, emphasizing the forum’s vital role in fostering inclusive development and driving sustainable growth in the region. #DPRM2024
