The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) conducted a Pulong Saliksikan entitled "Financing Infrastructure in the Philippines" last 24 October 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Carlos P. Romulo Hall of the NEDA sa Makati Bldg., Makati City.
The research presentation was given by Dr. Adora Navarro, Senior Research Fellow of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies.
Her presentation focused on the draft study "Financing Infrastructure in the Philippines" which she co-authored with PIDS President Gilberto Llanto. The draft paper presents an overview of infrastructure development in the Philippines, details the Philippine infrastructure investment pipeline, analyzes the national and external sources of infrastructure financing, and discusses public-private partnerships and capital market development. The study is being supported by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia and was released on a limited circulation basis during the Pulong Saliksikan.
