The Philippine Institute for Development (PIDS) welcomed a visiting delegation from the Rural Development and Cooperative Division of the Government of Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Rural Development Board on February 18, 2015.
The Bangladeshi contingent was accompanied by two officials from the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST). The Bangladeshi delegation was composed of Mr. Syed Abdul Momin, Joint Secretary of the Rural Development and Cooperative Division; Mr. Sushanta Kumar Kundu, Deputy Secretary of the Rural Development and Cooperative Division; Mr. Qazi Mohammad Ali Hossain, Director of Planning for the Bangladesh Rural Development Board; Mr. Md Rafiqul Islam, Senior Assistant Chief of the Rural Development and Cooperative Division; Mr. Mohammad Firozar Rahman, Project Director of UDKONIC Project; Mr. A T M Shahebul Islam, UDKONIC Deputy Project Director, and Mr. Md Abdur Razzak, Personal Assistant to the State Minister, Rural Development & Cooperative Division.
PIDS officers who welcomed the Bangladeshi contingent were PIDS Acting Vice President Adoracion Navarro, Projects Services and Development Director Renee Ann Ajayi, Research Information Staff Director Sheila Siar, and Senior Research Fellow Roehlano Briones.
