PIDS welcomes AMRO

ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) Senior Specialist Dr. Ruperto Majuca visited the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) last August 17 to discuss the state of the country’s economy in the ASEAN regional context with PIDS experts. The ARMO is the ASEAN+3 office in charge of monitoring and analyzing the economies in the ASEAN region, plus China, Japan, and South Korea. PIDS Senior Fellows Dr. Erlinda Medalla, Dr. Aniceto Orbeta, Dr. Rosario Manasan, Dr. Jose Ramon Albert, and Dr. Adoracion Navarro sat down with Dr. Majuca to impart their analyses and insights on the status of the country's trade, poverty and social welfare, governance, and infrastructure under the new administration.
