Claudio Lilienfeld, director for government affairs in Asia of the Gilead Sciences, Inc., a research-oriented biopharmaceutical company, visited the Philippine Institute for Development Studies to meet with the Institute’s health experts. PIDS President Gilberto Llanto, and researchers Ida Marie Pantig and Danica Ortiz discussed with Lilienfield the country’s national health issues. They also explored research priorities to improve the country’s health policies, particularly with regards to addressing the spread of Hepatitis C.
