QUEZON CITY, Oct. 28 (PIA) – The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) released yesterday, October 27 the schedule of its upcoming virtual forums for the month of November 2020.
The first of two webinars is on Assessing the Readiness of Filipino Professionals to Participate in the Mobility of Skilled Labor in ASEAN, which is scheduled on November 12, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
This forum will present a paper which studied the human resource development dimension of the various mutual recognition arrangements (MRAs) of the Philippines with the ASEAN, as well as their contributions to the labor participation of Filipino professionals in Southeast Asia.
This will be followed by a forum on Understanding the Role of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation in Philippine Trade and Investment and is set on November 26, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
This webinar will feature two papers, wherein the first studied the level of awareness of stakeholders about the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The second study will present how the APEC developed as an institution, including the changes it has gone through, and the challenges it has faced in the past years.
