PIDS became one of the first government agencies in the Philippines to gain 24-hour access to the internet through dial-up connection when the internet was first introduced in 1994.
In the same year, PIDS also set up its website—https://www.pids.gov.ph/—again, one of the first government agencies in the country to do so.
