MANILA - The absence of good infrastructure coupled with the apparent lack of an effective networking strategy to market the country as a an alternative health tourism destination are the main reasons why the Philippines is still trailing behind its neighbours Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand in this area, a a study commissioned by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) said.
