In response to APEC 2017 Vietnam's priorities and in consideration of the Philippines' continuing efforts to mainstream and further strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises' competitiveness, the Philippine APEC Study Center (PASCN) organized a Trade Policy Forum on April 16, 2018 at the PIDS office in Quezon City.
Dr. George Manzano from the University of Asia and the Pacific and Dr. Jamil Paolo Francisco from the AIM-Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness presented the findings of their respective studies to a select group of experts, government agencies, and private sector representatives to solicit valuable insights and suggestions. The PASCN has given support to the said studies.
The forum was also held in honor of Philippine Institute for Development Studies' trade and policy expert and PASCN former project director Dr. Erlinda Medalla.
