Disini Law Partner Atty. Lars Serzo talks of regulatory reforms and the development of the Philippine digital economy in a book recently published by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and launched last 22 June 2023.
The COVID-19 pandemic facilitated digital transformation in the Philippines, making it one of the fastest-growing digital economies in Southeast Asia. To obtain a better understanding of the digital economy, the PIDS has compiled research on the current information and communications technologies (ICTs) environment. Entitled Critical Issues in the Philippine Digital Economy, the volume discusses issues related to e-commerce, financial technology, online and platform work, smart cities, digital connectivity, and gender.
