The National Economic and Development Authority is optimistic that the country would be able to achieve most of the targets of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on poverty, hunger mitigation, gender equality in education, child mortality, arresting the spread of AIDS and malaria, and access to safe drinking water.
