Representatives of the International Labour Organization Country Office for the Philippines (ILO CO-Manila) staff met with PIDS President Gilberto Llanto to discuss possible collaborations for the on-going project on “Strengthening the Impact of Trade on Employment in the Philippines".
The ultimate goal of the project is to help the Philippines come up with more coherent trade and employment policies that would leverage its exports and help create more opportunities for decent, productive, and gainful employment for Filipinos. In particular, the ILO STRENGTHEN project will have the coconut industry as its export sector of focus.
The meeting was held on May 11, 2017 at the PIDS office in Quezon City.
