Hello, PIDS friends! Here's our #PIDSFactFriday for the week on who are most likely to go into online selling.
A PIDS study that analyzed the results of the 2019 National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Household Survey found that online selling is more likely among women than men and those who are married and more educated. Students, self-employed, or unemployed are also more likely to go into online selling. There is also a greater chance of engagement in this activity among those who have completed an ICT course than those who did not. People in urban areas also have a higher likelihood of engaging in online selling than those in rural areas.
