A PIDS study revealed one of the damaging effects of bullying. The estimation results show that bullying is consistently negatively correlated with test scores across all subjects (math, science, and reading). The 2018 round of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) noted that 65 percent of students in the Philippines reported being bullied at least a few times in a month compared to 23 percent on average across OECD countries.
