A PIDS study that collected and analyzed graduates’ college experience found marked differences in their choice of baccalaureate programs. Social sciences, business, and law were popular among all graduates, whether from public or private higher education institutions (HEIs). Health-related courses were also a popular choice among graduates of private HEIs. In contrast, education, science and agriculture, and engineering, manufacturing, and construction were the fields of study of most graduates from public HEIs.
