EXPORTS soared 27.3 percent year-on-year in January, as electronic shipments rebounded from the previous month’s slump and as sales of copper cathodes, furniture and minerals more than doubled from a year ago. The National Statistics Office said the country sold $4.167 billion worth of merchandise goods in January, up from $3.272 billion a year ago and $3.689 billion in December 2006.
