The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) will hold a webinar on May 28, 2020, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to feature the PIDS discussion paper titled “Who Are the Health Workers and Where Are They? Revealed Preferences in Location Decision among Health Care Professionals in the Philippines”.
The study, which is authored by PIDS Senior Research Fellow Michael Abrigo and former PIDS Research Associate Danica Ortiz, examined the spatial distribution of healthcare workers across the country and analyzed the different factors that affect their decisions in choosing work locations. It also provided some policy recommendations that will address the uneven distribution of healthcare workers in several cities and municipalities.
Due to technical limitations, this event is by invitation only. For inquiries, please contact Ms. Rowena T. Taliping or Ms. Gwen B. de la Cruz at rtaliping@mail.pids.gov.ph or NdelaCruz@mail.pids.gov.ph, respectively.
