The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), in partnership with the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) of the United Nations, invites you to a policy dialogue on the 2025 edition of ESCAP’s flagship publication, the Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific.

Happening on April 30, Wednesday, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the PIDS Conference Hall and via Zoom, this event will focus on the theme “Understanding the Macroeconomic Implications of Climate Change”, exploring how climate change and climate action intersect with key macroeconomic indicators.

Released annually since 1947, the Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific offers in-depth analyses to inform policy discussions on key and emerging socio-economic issues, supporting sustainable development across the Asia-Pacific region.

The 2025 edition highlights the complex feedback loops between environmental and economic systems, assesses regional readiness based on climate exposure and coping capacity, and discusses policy strategies to strengthen economic resilience amid a changing climate.

Interested participants can register for onsite or online attendance at https://bit.ly/pidsevent043025. As onsite participation is limited, registration will require manual approval. You may also tune in to the PIDS and SERP-P Facebook pages for the livestream.
