In line with the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month this July, state think tank Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) is organizing a seminar titled “Have we institutionalized DRRM in the Philippines?”
Authored by PIDS Senior Research Fellow Sonny Domingo and Research Assistant Divina Olaguera, the study tackles various aspects of an effective disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) scheme in the country, including the institutional setup of the disaster management council and its functions. Issues on DRRM resource management will also be discussed during the seminar.
