The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) will present the results of the 2021 PIDS Survey of Innovation Activities (PSIA) in its study titled "The Extent of Innovation in Philippine Business and Industry: Results of the 2021 PIDS Survey of Innovation Activities" on August 10, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm via Zoom.
The 2021 PSIA presented data on the innovation practices of various businesses, offering valuable insights for developing policies to mainstream innovation in the country.
Authored by PIDS Senior Research Fellows Jose Ramon Albert, Francis Mark Quimba, and Ramonette Serafica, Supervising Research Specialists Jana Flor Vizmanos and Neil Irwin Moreno, and Research Analysts Abigail Andrada, Mika Muñoz, and Angelo Hernandez, the study examined the barriers and challenges to innovation and proposed strategies to overcome them. It highlighted the crucial link between a skilled workforce and innovation and explored the relationship between innovation and economic growth.
