As part of its year-end activities, the Philippine APEC Study Center Network is hosting a public symposium with the theme, “Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Connect, Innovate, Prosper.” The event will be held on December 3, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Dusit Thani Manila and via Zoom.

The symposium is hosted in preparation for Korea’s hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2025, which follows the titular theme. Discussions will focus on the multidimensional implications of collaborative sustainable development across the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the Philippines in terms of trade, digitalization, resilience, and inclusive development. Priority areas for policies and academic research will be identified to address the objectives of the 2025 APEC theme.

Scholars and practitioners from PASCN member institutions, government representatives, industry leaders, civil society stakeholders, and experts in sustainable and inclusive development will be in attendance.

Interested participants can register for onsite or online attendance at bit.ly/pidseventdec3. As onsite participation is limited, registration will require manual approval.
