The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) held a public seminar on "Disaster Risk Reduction in the Philippines: Challenges and Ways Forward" on June 20, 2018.
The seminar featured two research papers, namely, "Public Expenditure and Institutional Review of DRRM in the Philippines" by PIDS Senior Research Fellow Sonny Domingo and "Coping with Disasters due to Natural Hazards: Evidence from the Philippines" by Dr. Majah-Leah Ravago of the University of the Philippines School of Economics.
Participants from other government agencies, NGOs, CSOs, private sectors, and the academe were present at the seminar.
